Eco Canteen – This “As Seen On TV” bottle is made of Stainless Steel which we liked, but when is came to some of our other field test, we were let down.

While Good Life Bottles are one of newer players on the scene.  It appears that instead of re-inventing the wheel, they simply improved on it greatly.   With amazing style, standard double walls, a vacuum-sealed cap, and durability that is suitable for a war, we were amazed.  After we looked at the price, and this bottle exceeded our expectations in almost every test category, we gave it our gold metal (a no brainer).

A good-looking, stainless steel bottle with a good cause in mind.  This bottle is functional, but it lacks personality and style.  With limited color choices and an unidentifiable design, it is the blah of all bottles.  Besides that, its single wall design does not support hot beverages and it is limited in its ability to sustain the temperature of cold beverages for a long time.  This bottle earned our Bronze metal.

Sigg (aluminum) is one of the first bottles to make an impression in this industry. When it comes to design and color choices, Sigg is doing it right. Traditional Sigg bottles were always aluminum, but they appear to have stainless steel options now as well. We steer clear of aluminum at all cost; so stainless would be our only possible Sigg choice. Their base models are single walled, and some of their other options are way overpriced in our opinion. If you are looking for a warranty, look elsewhere because while they claim they have one, we have heard negative stories from many customers.

Off the store shelf (Target)- These bottles are inexpensive, and for good reason. You will save money up front, but you will buy about 100 of these bottles over the course of your life to make up for one high-end bottle.

The envirobottle is another stainless steel bottle company whose products are found on retail store shelves. After seeing and testing the bottles we were less than amazed at the results. The envirobottle was one of the weakest of the bunch when it came to durability and good looks. See our test results for the complete story.
